IGBAJA CHILDREN EDUCATION FUND (I.C.E.F.)

OFFICIAL REPORTS ON ICEF FIRST PRESENTATION CEREMONY HELD ON 3RD MAY,2013 AT ECWA SECONDARY SCHOOL (CHAPEL HALL):

The programme kick started at around 9:20am with the arrival of students and principals from the three secondary schools in Igbaja namely; Muslim Secondary Commercial School - Igbaja (Museco), ECWA Secondary School - Igbaja and Igbaja Baptist Grammar School - Igbaja (IBGS). The students were given numbers as they arrive the venue for the programme. 

He comes the initiator (Bakare Ridwan Ishola) who started a pre-session with the students by telling the students about himself for them to know that They can be what they want to be by taking their studies very serious and by taking hardwork as their main tool to greatness.

After the pre-session made by the initiator, The programme started at around 10:40am with the prayers from Mr. Tajudeen (Representing Principal of Museco - Igbaja) in the islamic way and a teacher from ECWA - Igbaja praying in the christian way. Followed by the introduction of guests to the programme by the MC. Then, The Initiator was called to give his speech where he stressed the achievements and challenges of IGBAJA CHILDREN EDUCATION FUND (ICEF).

The principal of the Secondary Schools in Igbaja have expressed their gratitude to the Executive members of the Igbaja Children Education Fund (ICEF) for the commitments and feelings they have towards the educational background of the students in the town. The principals however, urged the students to make use of the educational materials presented judiciously and to emulate from the initiator and the executives of the ICEF.

Mr. Opekun (Principal, ECWA Secondary School - Igbaja) said to the student that "They should try to be a good ambassador of your town, and emulate and pick from the good side of the executive members of ICEF".

Then, The presentation of the education materials such as Series Past Questions and Answers (Mathematics and English Language) 14 Copies each and 33 Exercise Books each was done to every secondary schools present at the programme with the Head - Boy and Head - Girl at the receiving end. There was some textbooks presentation the schools and their principals at the receiving end.

The Initiator also delivered a paper with the topic called "Is Internet a blessing or a curse to Millennial Generation?" and he promised the students to be expecting more of the presentation and urged them to be focused in thier academic career. He therefore assure them that this is just the tip of the iceberg.

The ceremony was graced by Honourable Moshood Bakare, who was represented by his Personal Assistant, Abubakar Daud, and the Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr. Bode Olayemi, who also represented by his Personal Assistant, Segun Jolayemi. Earlier before, the initiator has commend the effort of the two special invited guests for finding time to grace the occassion despite their tight schedule. They presented some cash donation to the progress of this good initiative by ICEF. They also presented the gift to the winner of the competition done for the students and the winner was the student with the number 137 by name "Atolagbe Habeeb" from Museco - Igbaja.

The students also give their own opinion of the programme. They prayed for ICEF and they said that they want ICEF to continue this kind of programme to encourage them to work hard. They said they really appreciate it. They however prayed God to continue assist them in their endeavor.

The Vote of thanks was done by the Initiator and closing prayer was done in Islamic and Christianity way. Immediately after the programme, there was group photographs was made. The programme ended around 12:50pm.
